If incoming emails are not generating tickets, start by verifying your mailbox configuration under Admin > Emails > Incoming Mail. Click Verify Connection — a failed connection usually indicates incorrect server hostname, port, or credentials. Check that the polling service is running by reviewing the cron job log at storage/logs/cron.log. Ensure the cron entry * * * * * php artisan schedule:run is present and active on your server. Spam filters or firewall rules on the mail server can also silently drop messages before they reach the helpdesk. Finally, check the failed jobs queue under Admin > System > Queue for any mail-fetch errors with detailed stack traces.
